On Saturday, May 16 at 3:00 p.m. central time, I lost a guildmate, guild webmaster, and friend. It was completely unexpected. He was 32.
This Blog is dedicated to Astronaut, aka Steven Turman.

Astro was remarkable. He was kind, reliable, smart, funny, caring, generous, hard-working, approachable, fun. I looked forward to seeing more pictures of his puppy Ripley as she grew up. I fully expected him to visit me in Vancouver some day, and go for Dim Sum. I expected to visit him and be taught what “real” BBQ was. I’d told him a bit about my plans for this blog, and he’d offered to be my WordPress mentor when I got around to setting this site up.
Astro was an organ donor. He will live on in up to 50 people, as well as in the memories of his guildmates and other friends in World of Warcraft, his Real Life friends, family and pets. He will be missed. He will not be forgotten.
Please consider registering for the organ donor program in your state/province. The act of a few seconds can mean a new life to so many.

I’m going to close this with his forum avatar and signature quotes:

“We’re a performance family. You must perform. If you go in and you don’t perform, we’re going to play somebody else. But we still love you. I still want you at my house having dinner, but you have to perform.” -Coach John Calipari.
“Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.” -Margaret Mead
